But while you're waiting, here's a quick post featuring the manicure I did for Julep's NOTD contest.  It features Julep's Samantha, Hayden, and Amy - all go on so nicely, too!   If you'd like to vote for my entry, you can do so up to once per hour by clicking here and then clicking "vote" - feel free to share it on your wall so your friends can get involved, too!
Special thanks to Mommy Does her Nails for loaning me Hayden and Amy for this one!

Show me your mug - contest!

Hi friends!   I was admiring my collection of mugs today.  I don't know if you love mugs the way I do, but I'm a huge fan.  Starbucks has a tenancy toward designs I like.  I like to eat soup or cereal from a mug rather than a bowl too.

So, it inspired a fun giveaway in my mind - show me your mug!  I want you to do a manicure inspired by a mug you love, photograph them together, and email them to me - then I will compile all the entries and choose a winner!   If I get more than 25 entries, I'll give away two prizes.  Here's the details;

*Email me your picture (to MamaCaswell@gmail.com) containing the mug & manicure you did inspired by it!
*Entries may be submitted until January 22nd 2012 (one per person, please!)
*Prize is $8.00 worth of nail polish and a mug that I choose from your awesome manicure and blog stalking ;)
*Myself and a panel of impartial judges (my best friends and darling daughter) will choose our favorite(s)
*I will post the winner (and all the amazing entries), and contact the winner by email - they will have 3 days to contact me back with their mailing address

ALSO one winner will be chosen for an additional prize - there are 3 ways to enter for the second prize.  The second prize will be chosen by random.org drawing, and you can gain a separate entry for each of these methods;
*Enter your mani to the contest
*Share publicly and leave a comment with a link via facebook
*Reblog about the contest, and leave a link in the comments on this post

Off to the Emerald City

Dreaming of summer, longing for color, and also headed to WA again for the weekend - these poppies on my pinterest were just speaking to me.

I love the colors, the whimsy, and I wish I had the tools to capture the look better.   The nails:

So, if you blur your eyes real good or get smashing drunk, I'm sure it looks SO GOOD!  LOL, I am honestly pretty happy with it considering I have no nail art brushes, but I will probably redo it when I have the proper tools someday.
