The girl and the poet

Hello friends!   Today, I've got a lovely little combo for you with a short life expectancy.  China Glaze Poetic meets my favorite, Zoya Harlow.   This is two coats of Poetic, striping tape and then a thick coat of Harlow.  Peel off the striping tape and you've got a stunner!   Hope you love it!

Make new friends, but keep the old

I considered going all out and doing a glitter gradient manicure, very appropriate and expected for New Year's Eve - but I decided to go with something a little more "me" today, since it's my birthday today and I'm not likely to change my nails for tomorrow!  

My old friend is probably my favorite ever - Zoya "Harlow".  The new girls are Essence "Rock" topcoat, and Finger Paint's "Twisted"

If you have everything to replicate this one, you must be my polish twin or just really really addicted to everything polish.

The details:
This layering features Zoya "Harlow", a gorgeous matte plum color with a glow all her own - sorry girls, she's been discontinued, so you have to search or swap to find her.  Next, I used Finger Paint's new release, "Twisted" from their flaky collection due to be released on the 1st of January '12.  Finally, I spread a good thin layer of Essence's "Rock" topcoat, which gives the whole look a deeper smoky effect.  Sorry if you're looking for that one as well, it was not released in the US and from what I hear, it dissapeared pretty quickly overseas as well.

Minicure Mondays

Hi all! 

My lovely pal and I have decided to celebrate "Minicure Mondays" on our blogs, when we'll feature the tiny little nails in our lives.  Tonight, my daughter was all about the pinks...Wet and Wild's "Frosted Fuschia" stamped with MASH plate M78 over Claire's "Grape Escape".  We finished it off with a few decorations from Bundle Monster's set.

 After she finished a few chapters of Narnia, I tucked her in and decided to set about something that would go along with her mani.  But, I'm not much of a pink girl myself, so I pulled out two of the most addictive colors I've got - Zoya "Harlow" and "Ibiza".  Harlow's a matte purple that just keeps me staring, and Ibiza's navy but anything but boring.  The topcoat added some shine to Harlow, and I'm pleased with the final result.  Take a look for yourself:
